What are short links and how do they work?

A go/ short link is a way for somebody to type a short, memorable link such as go/hr rather than a hard to remember link into their browser.

The user's browser uses an extension or DNS to resolve the link to Goto Tools' servers. This server then redirects the browser to the full URL.

This turns https://docs.google.com/pre......K-FK3x4/edit into go/kickoff or goto.tools/kickoff
